You are saved by grace! Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens,so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast.  Ephesians 2: 5-9.

The Holy Writ gives us the prescription for that which keeps us from the peace of God. What did you say, pastor?  Say that again. John Newton in his declining years heard the WORDS of Scripture say  “by the grace of God I am what I am”.

Newton continued, “I am not what I ought to be! How imperfect and deficient I am! I am not what I wish to be, although I abhor that which is evil and would cleave to what is good! I am not what I hope to be, but soon I shall be out of mortality, and with it all sin and imperfection. Though I am not what I ought to be, nor what I wish to be, nor yet what I hope to be, I can truly say I am not what I once was: a slave to sin and Satan. I can heartily join with the apostle and acknowledge that by the grace of God I am what I am!”

It seems to me that no amount of wealth, attainment, status or popularity can do that which the gift of God, His Grace can do.

I’m learning, day-by-day, of the total sufficiency of His Grace

It’s essential to LIVE in 2019 and passionately run this Race

I dare not doubt or stop my Service to Him,

No matter what the issues, instances or insults I FACE.

Lord Have Mercy!
